Wednesday classes DISCONTINUED.

We have decided to stop training classes on Wednesday from the end of January 2012. This is due to Giuseppe having a new daughter and Uldis moving to Brighton, which made it more difficult to keep 4 sessions a week. The larger classes will however allow you to train with more people.

CLOSING FOR XMAS AND NEW YEAR

We will not be doing any classes between 15th December and 4th January inclusive. The first class of 2012 will be on the 5th of January (Thursday) at Liverpool Street Gym at the usual time.

New instructor at Mansion House Gym

Luis Elvira who has been training with us for a few years quite obsessively now and will be taking the classes at Mansion House Fitness First Gym.
Giuseppe will continue to train and teach from time to time but is taking a break, using Systema to both learn about as well as teach to his newborn little princess Anya.

Tuesday Classes and Sometime Sunday

Tuesdays are being taught by Giuseppe now and focus mostly on developing of correct neurology for combat aspects. Uldis now has a Sunday class in Brighton some weeks. Give him a ring or e-mail him to see if he will be teaching on any given Sunday.

Systema Seminar in Italy

Giuseppe went to Giulianova in Italy where the first Way of Systema Seminar in Italy was held. It went well and the attendees were pleased. We have some footage of the event but it was not being controlled by a human, more of a camera hung on a wall and the talking is all in Italian, but once we get a chance if anything good was recorded we may post a couple of clips.

This will be a series of five mini-seminars held every Wednesdays at the regular training time of 7.15pm to 8.45pm at Liverpool street Gym starting on 25th May 2011 and ending on 22nd June 2011. (see google map here).

Space is limited by the location and we expect to be able to accommodate no more than 25 to 30 people at most, first come, first served. If the payment link is down, that's it. Also, people who paid for the whole series get precedence and if there is no space left on the day, people who wanted to pay at the door will have to be turned away. We are not doing this to be rude, but because we are bound by certain safety regulations.

Hawar's Leaving Do is STILL ON this saturday at Uldis' pub and the food has already been bought, so bring your friends and come and have a Volcano Party. Food is free if you are a registered seminar attendant and only £10 each for as much as you can eat for your mates, so bring them along and let's use Systema on the Volcano "catastrophe" and make it a day of friendship, camaraderie, good food and fun and give our good friend a nice memory of us to take to Japan where he is relocating.

Due to the cancellation of all air traffic to Europe, the seminar with Vadim Dobrin scheduled on 16 to 18th of April is POSTPONED to 2 weeks times.

Vadim Dobrin is an internationally renowned Systema Instructor that until now limited his seminars and classes to the country of South Africa for over the last 10 years. It is often said that a teacher should be judged by the students he produces and if this is the case then anyone that has worked with any of Vadim’s Students can attest to the fact that they are some of the most competent Systema practitioners anywhere in the world.

Due to our forecoming expansion to the land of the rising sun, the wednesday class at Arch897 next to London Brigde are cancelled. Training will no longer occurs at this location. Please attend the wednesday class at Liverpool Street if you want to train on this day of the week.

We are going to have a 3 to 4 hour session this Saturday in the open air at Hyde Park, regardless of weather conditions or temperatures! We will meet at Hyde Park Corner Station, near the big arch with the angels you can see when you get out of the station. Time will be announced during the week but is likely to be from about 1pm to 4.30pm or so.
The idea is to get out of your comfort zone and yet have fun. Despite the name, no hard-core (or even any!) martial arts background is required.
Cost will be £10 per person and this money will go towards buying equipment for more hardcore training such as body armour etc for those who want to practice this way too.

We need your input to make this event a success so please use the contact e-mails to tell us:
1) that you will be attending
2) which park you would personally prefer to train in
3) best times, currently we are planning for between 1pm to 4 or 5pm (that's right... some of it almost in the dark for added fun!)

As for WHY? Why on Earth would you subject yourself to this? Well...you want to survive 2012 don't you? :)
Also, the mindset generated by this really needs to be experienced to be believed. Crazy people are happier!

Finally, anyone who completes every one of these sessions throughout the year gets some kind of prize as yet to be determined by us, but it will be something memorable.

With all the economic downturn and the raising of rental prices across the board it is no surprise that everything becomes more expensive. We Systema people however like to do things differently from the mainstream so we have come up with a way that you can train for less than you did in 2009.

Starting in 2010 we will have a new pricing structure for both the London School of Systema and the Way of Systema training sessions. The table below summarises what these are.

Please take note there are 198 available classes for 2010 at the moment but these may increase if we add more days of training, which is a very high likelihood and each extra day adds about 40 to 45 classes to the year for you to train in.

If you have a 3, 6 or 12 month card and we add more training days under Way of Systema (Friday Saturday or Sunday) you pay NOTHING more. Which means your training per session would come down to some ridiculous price of under £4, which as far as we know is cheaper than any training you can get in London. Last year the average cost of training per class was over £7.50 across the board. As you can see, we have made it so that 5 of the 8 options available are cheaper than that and in fact cheaper than they were 2 years ago! We also kept single class costs the same as last year.

Special events such as seminars we will host over week-ends and so on are not included in your training sessions. The above only applies to regular training sessions throughout the year and also excludes a new series of session we are planning for the new year which will only be unveiled later.

After all a little bit of unknown is always a good thing in training!
